Bio

Thieves & Lovers formed in sunny, sultry southern California in 2014. Citing such diverse influences as Jimmy Eat World, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Foo Fighters, the band’s sound blends melodic vocals with tight, guitar-driven arrangements that target the heart and the head.

The band began playing shows around Los Angeles and released their first EP that same year. The following year found the band in the studio again to begin the recording sessions for what would become the Seasons record, completing it after relocating to the east coast that summer. Building upon their signature melodic, guitar-based sound it garnered more attention through a consistent touring schedule, radio airplay, and positive press.

In early 2017 the band started working a new record in studios around Pittsburgh and Baltimore, which would ultimately become The World is Sleeping. The album brought the band more attention with the successful singles “Underneath” and “Long Goodnight”.

After a temporary hiatus during 2018, Thieves & Lovers returned the following year with a country-flavored EP titled Down the Line. The summer saw a return to touring while working on new recordings; yet another stylistic shift.

Released on Valentine’s Day of 2020, the new single “Stolen” provides the first glimpse of the band’s new sonic direction into a heavier, more atmospheric sound.
